Organized Formats

Turn messy notes into a clean, organized format that other apps can read.

Why this matters

When an app reads the AI answer, one extra sentence like "Sure, here you go" can break it. A strict format keeps automation working.

AI Adds Chatty Extras

AI likes to add "Sure, here is your data:". When an app reads the answer, that extra chat breaks it.

In real life: AI likes to be chatty. But a program reading the answer expects only the data. Extra words or code fences make the program fail.

❌ Breaks automation:
"Sure, here is your json:
```json
{ ... }
```"

List the Exact Labels You Want

Name every label you need, like ticket_id, severity, and summary. Ask for that format only, with no ``` marks or extra words.

In real life: JSON is a tidy way to write data with labels, like "severity": "HIGH". Name every label you want, in the exact spelling you want.

✅ Raw JSON Output:
{
  "ticket_id": "INC-8842",
  "severity": "HIGH",
  "summary": "Database dropping 40% of requests"
}

Say What to Write If Info Is Missing

Tell the AI to write null if something is not in the notes. Then it will not invent a value to fill the gap.

In real life: A form has a field "middle name". If you leave it blank, you do not make one up. Telling the AI to write null does the same thing for missing facts.

Missing value rule:
"If a field is not present in notes, output null. Never guess."

Your practice task

Turn the support note below into JSON (a simple labeled format apps can read) with three labels: ticket_id, severity (LOW or HIGH), and summary (10 words max). Reply with the JSON only—no ``` marks and no extra words.

How to do it

  1. Read the support note above.
  2. Name the three labels: ticket_id, severity, summary.
  3. Say severity must be LOW or HIGH, and summary is 10 words or fewer.
  4. Say: JSON only, no ``` marks. Then press Run proof.

Practice it for free in the app. You get instant checks that show what you got right and what to fix. A lesson takes about two minutes and you can try as many times as you like.

Quick reference: Clean JSON Answer Rule

Use when another app or spreadsheet needs to read the AI's answer.

Reply with JSON only, using exactly these labels: {"ticket_id": "text", "severity": "LOW or HIGH", "summary": "text"}. No ``` marks and no extra words.
