Refining Prompts for Structure

Turn unstructured drafts into polished executive communication through targeted structural constraints.

Why this matters

Managers want short, tidy updates. Telling the AI the exact shape you want saves you from rewriting its answer by hand.

Ask for the Shape You Want

When you write a business update, say exactly how it should look. This is faster than fixing a vague answer by hand.

In real life: If your first answer is messy, do not fix it yourself. Tell the AI how it should look next time, such as 'exactly 3 bullet points'. It will redo it in that shape.

Ask for Bullets, Numbers, Actions

Tell the AI to use bullet points, key numbers, and clear next steps. A busy reader can scan that in seconds.

In real life: A bullet with a bold label (like Deliveries or Expenses) is quick to scan. Asking for labels, numbers, and actions makes the update useful for a busy reader.

❌ "Give me an update."
✅ "Provide exactly 3 bullet points with bold category headings."

Your practice task

Instruct the AI to turn the weekly logistics notes below into an executive briefing of exactly 3 bullet points. Each bullet must begin with a bold category label (e.g. **Deliveries:**). Total word count must be under 50 words.

How to do it

  1. Read the logistics update above.
  2. Ask for exactly 3 bullet points and name the total word limit.
  3. Ask for a bold label at the start of each bullet, like **Deliveries:**.
  4. Press Run proof.

Practice it for free in the app. You get instant checks that show what you got right and what to fix. A lesson takes about two minutes and you can try as many times as you like.
